Polita

“Polita” is a must-have album. Just how necessary it was to tell this story. When musicals are staged on Broadway or the West End, a soundtrack CD is always eagerly awaited. It is a priceless memory of the event, because by definition theatre, including music, is an ephemeral art. Even if, like “Cats”, “Phantom of the Opera” or “Metro”, it seems to last forever – the album remains a sentimental memento of the first, unforgettable cast. I wish “Polita” more seasons. But I also know that this is a spectacle created largely for one extraordinary artist named Natasza. So it’s good that at least some of her charisma has been immortalized here, before Natasza is carried away by another fascinating project and her friends try to replace her in “Polita”. …
